Abstract

The characterization or diagnosis of nanoparticles is a specialized area within nanometry. This field focuses on measuring and analysing the physical and chemical properties of molecules, particularly nanoparticles, which are designed based on their unique attributes. Unlike traditional chemicals, nanoparticles cannot be fully described solely by their chemical composition and concentration. They exhibit distinct physical properties, such as size, shape, surface characteristics, crystallinity, and dispersion state, which play a crucial role in defining their overall behaviour and functionality.
